Resumen |
Wetlands are ecosystems that have international political of protection and conservation that explote their natural resources with sustainability criteria and the right to rest, besides the recreation of a sensitized society and oriented to their natural resources conservation. General objective: The use of signage to protect, conserve, and sustainably manage the ecosystem. Methodology: The study is applied in “Laguna de Zapotlán”, located in the state of Jalisco; coordinates: 19º27’13” North latitude and 103º27’53” West longitude; using descriptive, transversal, and inter-disciplinary analysis of the pcym of the wetland. Results and discussions: The “Laguna de Zapotlán” is recognized for their aesthetic value and ecotourism landscape for education and environmental awareness. There were eight trails that are part of the eco-theme park into the wetland. Conclusions: The “Laguna de Zapotlán”, Ramsar site, is suitable for environmental education and interpretation, and its accurate and timely information is subject to signage rules to be interpreted by tour guides and visitors.
